Archives / Living History Club
We are truly indebted to the Fort Lee Education Foundation who provided us with a grant to begin a FLHS Digital Archive. Our first project will be to digitize all the yearbooks dating back to the 1920's. This grant will also allow us to to begin the FLHS Living History Project. It is a work in-progress but I look forward to collaborating with any subject area teachers who are interested in incorporating such a project into your units. Additionally, we are starting an Archives Club who will be responsible for much of the digital scanning so please pass the word along to any students interested in assisting with these projects. They will gain some excellent skills and have access to the much coveted FLHS yearbooks.
Book Discussion Club
Teachers and students alike are invited to join the FLHS Book Discussion Club. We will meet once each month after-school or during a convenient lunch period to discuss a book chosen by the group.
The chess club consists of a group of student and occasionally faculty chess players who meet to enjoy the classic game of chess. Our “ranked” match system and tournaments encourage friendly competition. When available, lessons for new players are given by our veteran players. Chess sets are provided. We meet every Monday from 2:36 until 4:36 or later.
